This work developed an expert system for configuring apparatus for Ion Chromatography. It was developed by Mary Mullholand, in the School of Chemistry at UNSW. Joint publications in Chemistry and AI have resulted from this work. Ion Chromatography is a common method for analysing compounds. It is a highly skilled task and experts are rare.
